Basket Army – 02
And here’s the second episode, which was streamed about 2 days ago! While the first episode dealt with the main characters (the middle school soldiers tasked with protecting an item that will “save Japan’s future”), this second episode focuses on the members of the Trident company’s strike team that are being dispatched to Japan to fight in the “war”.
As you can probably tell, these shorts aren’t designed to be an actual series, but more of special promotions of key events that happen in the light novel/manga.
I originally planned to work on this over the weekend, but opted to work on it now since I have a ton of Uni work due next week. Since episodes are scheduled to come out every two months, I guesstimate that the next episode will stream on April 26th or something.
Plastic Nee-san 05 will probably be released Saturday at the earliest. OP and ED are causing a bit of trouble.

Sekiei Ayakashi Mangatan – 01

Yes, the video quality is pretty bad, but that’s due to the source being absolutely horrible (Sorenson Spark for a video codec, and 1ch MP3 for audio? wtf is this shit). I ended up re-encoding it for better compatibility and dual-mono audio.
I’ll probably end up v2ing this in the final batch, so if anyone comes across any errors, feel free to let me know in the comments section.
Episode 2 is currently in the hands of a new TL recruit, so it’ll probably be out sometime next week.

Kobato Specials – 03-04 (DVD)
Kana Hana is so HHHNNNGGG.
I changed the style around a bit. I won’t be v2ing 01-02 with DVD raws, but will instead wait for BD raws. I also decided to move over to minglong since publicbt/openbittorrent trackers suck.
Guin Saga HDTV cancelled due to BD Box Announcement. Those who were waiting for an HD release should buy the BD Box (or wait for one of the many R1 ripping groups to release it).
Mangatan 01 just needs a bit more editing, so it should be out in a day or two. Mangatan 02 is currently being translated by a new translator, so look for that sometime next week.

Shokupan Mimi – 01-15
This took WAY longer than it should have.
There really isn’t much to say about the show itself. Each episode is just a 30 second short about the daily life of a piece of bread named Mimi, and some of her friends and family. AniDB — MAL
For those curious about the resolution, I had to find a good middle ground between the episodes with good video sources, and those with bad video sources. While I was fortunate to find a transport stream for one episode (ep7), I had to make use of webstreams of various quality for the rest of the episodes, and they all had various problems that I tried to address (lots of ghosting in 1-6, video artifacts and ear-cancer audio in 8-10, lots of combing in 15).

And here’s another project that I’ve been working on. Basket Army is a webcast series that started streaming on Youtube towards the end of December. You can read more about it on AniDB and MAL.
I wanted to get this done sooner, but the holidays just sucked away all of my free time. I’m going to go ahead and resume work on Mimi now (since all it really needs is a final QC and Timing Check, sans ep15), and then I’ll focus on Suzy and Kobato again.

Kobato Specials – 01-02 (DVD)
Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to get back to fansubbing! First up are a couple of the Kobato Specials that were included on Volumes 1-6 of the limited edition DVDs (Volumes 8-12 included some audio dramas, which I do not plan on doing). Kobato will be getting a Blu-Ray Box release in April, which will not only include HD versions of these specials, but also two all new specials, so look forward to that!
I decided to release under a new group name in order to differentiate between remuxes and new translations. I might make a new site and a IRC channel for the new group at a later date, but I’ll just make my release posts here for now.
