Erryone’s FX!

Retouched/Migoto turns 2 today! Two years ago, I founded this group(s) to provide better (video) quality releases of Touch and Starry Sky, and to fansub Suzy’s Zoo. (Well, at least two of those are complete!)
Since then, I’ve worked on a whole slew of shows, specificity niche, short-length shows and webstreams.
So far, I’ve released around 200 episodes of anime. Not bad for a (mostly) 2-person group!

Day 40!

Ai Mai Mi – 01

I was originally just going to wait and do the BDs for this series, but as it turns out… there won’t be any!
So, I’m just going to clean up the (crappy) TV airing as best as I can. Good practice, I suppose.

I’m encoding from TVS transport streams because I can’t find any from KBS, and AT-X is horrible.
Unfortunately, the TVS airing for 1-3 is pretty bad. In addition to frame corruption at almost every keyframe (lots of freezeframing was needed), the first 3 episodes have some sort of super aliasing cross-conversion problems. I tried to clean it up as best I could, but I’m not a pro encoder, so don’t expect a work of art. Luckily, 4+ look much better.
I might consider doing the DVD as well, but given Takeshobo’s DVD quarity history (bitrate-starved, haloing everywhere), I probably won’t.
Since I have to wait for TVS transport streams to appear on PD, I won’t be trying to rush this out every week.

Some parts of the ED are kinda hard to hear, and it’s pretty crazy overall, so we’ll just wait for the official lyrics (which will be out in a month), unless someone out there is brave enough to translate it. If we end up waiting, we’ll add the translation into the final batch.
